The interview at NHMRC was conducted as a panel-style team meeting with three interviewers. It was for a Tester role. They asked several scenario-based questions focused on real testing situations, and I was able to answer all of them confidently. After the interview, they contacted my reference. I was then informed that I had been placed in the merit pool, which is valid for 18 months.
