      First interview: This is done by a well experienced Multiverse coach where you have the opportunity to discuss the role in-depth and ask all the questions you have. You should enjoy this interview. Second interview: Very robotic and monotonous dealing with the very cliché questions. There is no need for a human to do this task these days. This interview should be done as an online pre-screening process where applicants can answer the questions using an online form. The HR person has far less information and expertise than the coach in the first interview. So, in a way, it feels like a downgrade not an upgrade! It also felt very unprofessional and disrespectful when the HR person was trying hard not to yawn during the conversation (at least twice). This even happened in one occasion when I was giving an example about student engagement and how challenging it is when a student yawn in class, and then to see the HR person is holding their mouth tightly not to yawn! Personal view on Multiverse: I think Multiverse is going through an identity crisis phase. based on the previous reviews here and my own experience, do not be fooled by the social mobility vision and mission. When Multiverse started, social mobility might have been a good USP, however, with the expansion growth plan in place, this seems to be fading away towards a “commercialised social mobility.” First, there are no clear steps or explanation on their website about how they select apprentices. When I asked the recruiter directly about how they select the apprentices, I was told that applicants go through a Psychometric Tests and telephone interview. When I pressed on how they ensure that the apprentices are from underrepresented background and align with “social mobility,” the answer is “we cannot guarantee that everyone will come from unrepresentative background.” This is means, anyone can apply for the program (including financially capable ones) and lie about their background and can easily hide their qualification to join the program and enjoy the benefits (there is a comment here saying some apprentices already have university degrees). This is wrong and completely contradicts the meaning of social mobility and creating an impact. It does not feel right to coach the wrong people. In addition, although the role is coaching, I got the feeling it is a tutoring role where you will spend most of your time teaching not coaching. Another contradicting factor is that although the company deep heartedly believes that the university model does not work anymore, they started to recruit university graduates with PhD to teach their curriculum! Overall, it was good to go through this experience but it was too good to be true.

      The overall structure and conduct of the interviews. Each stage was well-organized, and the communication throughout was clear and timely, which significantly eased any nerves and allowed me to present myself at my best. The interviewers were nothing short of brilliant. Their professionalism, depth of knowledge, and engaging approach made the entire process not just a series of assessments, but a genuinely enjoyable and enlightening experience. Their ability to create a comfortable and open dialogue is a testament to the positive culture at Multiverse.

      Entretien

      A thorough 4-step interview process, but at each stage the requirements and expectations are very clearly outlined for the interviewee. With this, plenty of material explaining the nature of the role and how you will be screened for the key competencies were provided. I had also been assigned a recruiting partner to help guide me through each stage of the interview process; this included phone calls informing me what to expect in the following rounds as well as how I might want to think about preparing for them. Each interviewer at each stage was incredibly welcoming and personable and this seems to reflect the company's culture.

      Technical competencies were largely established via technical tests and scenario role-plays. The rest of the interview questions focused on general Q&As surrounding motivations, understanding of the role, ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and a large emphasis on the interviewee's coachability and drive to develop.
