A friend of mine who worked there referred me to the position. I had an initial phone screening which was brief, probably since I was a referral, and I was asked to go onsite for a 2 and half hour interview. When I got to my onsite interview, I automatically noticed the positive work culture that MuleSoft presented and everyone was extremely friendly. I interviewed with four people: the head of recruiting, a recruiter (who I would potential work with), another recruiting coordinator and the lead recruiting coordinator. Although a little intimidating meeting four people back-to-back, I got a really good sense of the position, the expectations and the team. Everyone made it very personable asking questions specific to my resume. They were very eager on questions I had for them and wanted to make sure it was a good fit for me as well. Questions were generally geared towards previous experiences that were similar to what a Recruiting Coordinator would go through as well as questions about the type of person I am (Why did you choose to go to school here? Why did you study abroad there?). They also gave me feedback and construct criticism during the interview which I highly appreciated as I was able to address any concerns they had with my application. Overall, the interview experience at MuleSoft was by far the best experience I've gone through. They wanted to make sure I was a good fit for the position but also to make sure it was a good fit for me. I later interviewed with "the world's largest search engine" for the same position and in comparison, Mulesoft absolutely blew their interview process out of the park. Mulesoft made me feel very comfortable and welcomed and I left the interview feeling like I said everything I needed to say. Mulesoft also didn't saturate themselves with hypothetical questions which I absolutely hate (you're a recruiting coordinator and this happens, what do you do?). Ultimately, I was offered the position but declined to take an offer from another company for a position that better aligned with my career goals. It was a tough decision especially with the opportunity the Recruiting Coordinator position presented (they're planning on doubling in size in a year and a half) but they were very understanding and wished me the best of luck.

I applied online, then was contacted by the recruiter to set up an initial phone interview. The first phone interview was more of getting to know me and what I am looking for. Then i was contacted about speaking with the manager for a more detailed interview. During the second phone interview, the woman barely started speaking to me before she asked "What my biggest professional failure was". Seemed like a very negative way to start a conversation. I was then contacted about doing a scheduling exercise. It wasn't a very complex exercise, but it seemed they were looking for specific ways doing things. Following the exercise I was told they would not be moving forward. The reason being that I chose to do the scheduling how I have been doing for several years in the recruiting world. Overall, the reason I was turned down seemed to be a very simple teaching moment, not something that would prevent me from being successful in the role.
