I had an initial phone interview with HR, followed by a take-home assignment. After completing the assignment, I had an in-person interview with the team lead. The interview was for a junior position with no prior experience required, but the assignment felt overly complex and not reasonable for the time frame provided.

I was tasked with creating a Loop Machine application as part of the assignment. The exercise involved using 8 provided MP3 audio files to build a user interface where users could combine multiple tracks, control playback (play, pause, stop), and adjust individual track volumes. The application needed to synchronize the audio tracks to play seamlessly as a loop. While the assignment was interesting, it felt disproportionately complex for a junior-level role and the time frame given.

Asked about my history, starts from school, hobbies and way I want this job.
The interviewer was very nice.
Later I got home assignment, and failed at this part.
