Entretien
An intensive and LONG process. Initial interview with HR was quick and she did a good job explaining what the position was and explained their would be a couple rounds of interviews, with the final round being a sprint planning session with the team. The salary range is below market. The next sets of interviews were with various people within the department. Mostly 1-1 interviews where they ask about your PM style. I think they are VERY new to agile methods and so the questions were heavily focused on traditional PM work and risk management. The final round of the interview had a team of 6 people on. A couple days before the interview the HR manager sent out a two page document of a project they would like for you to put together. Ideally they are looking for a waterfall PM who works with smartsheet They are not looking for anything agile or scrum related. They have you present 3 different pieces of work that you have put together for the presentation - the process of piecing together this part of the interview is about a 2 hour process.
It is VERY TIME CONSUMING. And again they advertise for a SM but really want a traditional PM who already knows how to use their applications and won't need any training. Overall it was learning experience on when to proceed forward and when to say no - especially at the end when the final activity was switched from sprint planning to a PM style deck.
Questions d'entretien [3]
Question 1
Explain your risk management style. How do you mitigate all risks for a project? This question is asked a lot and often.
What tools do you use to put together a project plan? (Say Smart Sheets - they seem to really like this software and if you already use it then you will have a leg up)
