Good interview process via Microsoft teams. Competency questions as well as technical questions were asked. The interview lasted about an hour and followed a set of questions asked by both interviewers followed by time allowed for questions by the applicant.

Really unhappy with how I was treated by Mott MacDonald. Interviewed at their Croydon office and was told I’d hear back in a week or two. A month later I hadn’t heard anything and reached out. I got an email back from someone telling me that they thought their colleague told me about “the offer” and that I was successful. They then asked for my salary expectations (which was strange as I had already provided them). I replied with this info and asked to receive the terms of my offer but they never got back to me. I chased this up with a manager at Mott MacDonald - he outright refused to reply to my email and insisted on calling (presumably to avoid having written proof his team cocked up). After speaking to him it turned out that they went with another candidate but didn’t even bother telling me. Considering I spent £200 travelling from Aberdeen for the interview I found this disgraceful, the least they could do is send me a short rejected email. Mott MacDonald also claim they give all interviewees feedback after their interview - this is an outright lie, I requested feedback but was ignored. All in all a completely unprofessional company and I clearly dodged a bullet. Don’t waste your time applying - if you want to be treated with respect this isn’t the company for you.
