Morgan Stanley's external recruiter ghosted me.
I was approached by an external recruiter for Morgan Stanley. We had an initial phone conversation, and I passed my CV on to the recruiter to pass it on to the team at MS. I was initially told that my CV did not have enough keywords to guarantee an application.
I was then giving a Codility test which I completed. Unlike other Codility tests I have done, I was not given any automated feedback screen on Codility. Instead, there was a message telling me to check again soon.
Several days passed, and I did not hear from the external recruiter. When I followed up, I was told that there were several candidates in their pipeline that they were waiting to hear back from. Nothing happened afterwards. I would have appreciated it if they told me that their pipeline was closed, i.e. they were not hiring anymore.
It is just a shame that prior to the sudden silence, the external recruiter was in constant contact with me, showing keenness, only to forget about my existence once they got what they needed.
