J'ai postulé via une autre source. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Monzo Bank (Londres, Angleterre) en juil. 2018
Entretien
I applied through the website, got asked my availability for a phone screen very quickly as I have years of experience working in London Fintech.
Very random interview. Got called by one of their lead developer with very limited technical background. He asked me standard questions and silly and boring tech questions around app architecture.
I got an email the day after telling there wasn't strong match between my experience and the role. Standard rejection email. Obviously there was no need of explanations.

J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Monzo Bank en janv. 2025
Entretien
Initial call followed by take home test. Another call to review take home test code then final round consisting of a behavioural evaluation and finally a whiteboard app architecture task.
The whole process is too drawn out and I think the whiteboard process is outdated, off putting and completely unnecessary. The process is very automated and the applicant is left feeling like a number. I wouldn’t interview again until Monzo update their process

Entretien
I've interviewed with Monzo twice, first time I got to the technical interview however I wasn't selected to continue, however I did receive some good feedback. A year passes by and reapplied, and went through screening process. They weren't aware I interviewed with them prior so I gave them a heads up, spent the first 5 mins going over the notes from my last interview. They asked one question, regarding a difficult feature/bug and how I went about it. I gave my answer, discussing the process for how I go about developing features with keeping the user experience in mind as well developer experience/tech debt reduction. They had no follow up questions, and just went straight to "do you have any questions for me or Monzo?", showing really no interest or engagement in the interview. I did ask him quite a few questions regarding Monzo's roadmap and features as I was very interested in joining their team and working on an amazing product. However after this interview it just left me with a sour taste, giving little no feedback (I mean what feedback based on one question can you give) and will put this company on my "do not apply" list.
