I was interviewed for a Product Manager role and the experience was disappointing. After being kept on hold for an extended period, I was called back for another interview. The process felt disorganized and unprofessional. The interviewer repeatedly asked the same questions, as if he forgot what was discussed. He seemed disengaged and unclear on core product concepts, especially regarding Search and how it impacts success metrics. It felt like the interview was just a formality, and the interviewer lacked the expertise needed for the role. It seemed the interviewer was not even interested in spending time to discuss what a candidate’s previous expertise are and what he can bring to the table. Overall, a frustrating and poorly managed experience. Advice to the hiring team - Please improve your process and keep the panel who is more interested in hiring and not in discouraging the candidates.
