Submitted cover letter with mention of motivation to work at the organization, and resume. After around 2 months, the org then began the interview process. They are currently trying to diversify their staff and hire MO residents. The hiring manager said they customized the process to include a written deliverable and another interview within the policy department. (The hiring timeline would be spread over a number of weeks.)
I was surprised to learn the org is primarily focused on civil rights advocacy projects. No mention of statewide data collection, health programs and policy agendas, cross-functional organization projects, literature reviews, access, affordability, quality, proposals, briefs, etc. It seemed like this role and department were part of a civil rights lobbying group. Nothing wrong with that. Just FYI, the role and policy direction are focused more on justice in the community and seem to have that tone throughout the discussions.
