Received an email from the recruiter in mid-May to set up a time for a 30-minute phone call, so I submitted my availability and was scheduled for a call to take place two weeks from that date (this would have been late May). On the day of my scheduled call, I had an emergency and reached out to reschedule several hours in advance.
The recruiter was understanding and sent me a new link to reschedule. I submitted my availability again and didn’t hear back from the recruiter for over a week.
She never actually responded after I submitted my availability and just sent over a calendar invite after a week, expecting my availability to remain unchanged despite her lack of communication. As a result, I had other interviews scheduled that day and was not able to accept the calendar invite. I let her know about the situation and asked if we could push our call back by 15 minutes.
She, again, did not reply to my email and ended up calling an hour later than the time I was proposing. I missed this call, so I emailed her with my availability, (while also asking whether she’d received my previous emails). She took another week to respond, but apologized for the back and forth and miscommunications from her end of things. She asked if I was still interested in chatting, and at this point, I was fed up but still in need of a job and was willing to give her another chance -so we scheduled a time for the following week.
The time for the call rolled around and in my experience, recruiters typically don’t call right on the dot, they call 2-3 minutes after the scheduled time. I waited and never got a call. It’s now 30 minutes past our scheduled call time and I’ve officially given up on this company.
Awful experience. Over a month of back and forth and misunderstandings (on the recruiter’s part) and no interview ever took place. I would recommend applying elsewhere if you’re looking for a company with reliable, communicative employees.
