A preliminary HR interview included a bit about the team and primary skills required. Process would include in person with hiring manager and at least one more level up.
In person interview required formal business wear. Good discussion with hiring manager discussing my background and what I bring. Then specific questions regarding leading a team and dealing with conflict. This is when I found out that the 10 direct reports really included a team of 50. There was also a very low salary expectation, even if the team had only been 10.
This role was not filled.
HR communicated very well throughout the whole process.
