The initial interview was a zoom call and then the next cycle was a in person interview. I am in no way revolting against the company for not recieving an offer but rather for future candidates and some reflection from the team. The zoom call included HR and 3 members of the team. The team couldn’t look less enthused about being there, looking away from the camera. The interview didn’t start with a typical introduction question but more of a “so why did you apply”. The interview then moves into the technical portion. The questions felt less of getting to know the candidate and rather the team trying to get you. Understanding a candidates capabilities is important but asking an open ended question is more productive than asking about specfics within a process and then advising there was no true answer because they are continually changing. When I took a seconds to think and construct an answer the HR women would prompt with “you can guess” “just try”. A bit condescending and throws off your rhythm. By the ratings most people have a negative experience interviewing here. Small changes can make a huge difference.
