Two weeks after applying got a call from HR for interview meeting. No screen call. Meet the future boss. No chemistry at all and the role looked totally different than described. More junior than senior. Arranged next interview in two weeks for round two, this time with the local accounting team. Nice people but clearly drowning in work. They openly told me they do 10-12 hours a day plus weekends. Contrary to the work and life balance the HR was telling me on the first call. Offer was below market and what I currently make and I was aiming for something more senior so I declined.

Straight forward and nice approach. If you don't know the topic, they won't ask more so you will not feel bad. They will test if you are okay for the group as it is a small team
