I had 3 rounds, and the whole thing lasted for 1.5 month
- Phone interview with the HR
- Video interview with the HoS
- Take home assignment - Pitch deck creation
I had the initial call with the HR, and then the person set me up to having a video interview with the HoS next week. Everything seems fine, during the call with the HoS, he mentioned I should be getting the next step a take home test soon around next week. But the HR sent me an email said they'll give me an update next week asap, without mentioning the test(I sent them an email follow up said I will be waiting for an update, after that nothing has been exchange).
And then 3 weeks has passed without any contact, suddenly they sent me an email and ask me to do a pitch deck and has to finish it within 72 hours within received the email. The HR did gave me a call and let me ask Qs about the test, however I do think they can do better in arranging the next step with the candidate, especially they've been ghosting.
After completed the pitch deck, the day after they sent a canned email saying that thanks for the completion but they're not going to proceed. I sent them an email follow up and ask for interview feedbacks as I always do, but nothing.
The whole interview process gave me a feeling that they just want you to do the pitch deck and use your insights in helping their business expansion. Even they might not want to proceed with your interview, they will still do let you do the deck.
