Questions posées lors d’un entretien d’embauche pour Software Engineer/.NET Developer chez Maxim Integrated

First interview was a phone call and the interviewer asked simple technical questions and an algorithm question over the phone and asked me to explain the solution I would come up for this question. After this step, they invited me to the office to proceed. Second interview process took 4-5 hours. First two engineers came and asked relatively easy technical questions after they leave another senior developer came and asked technical questions and code cases. After that a manager came and again asked technical questions and algorithm questions on the white board. Manager asked if I was working while studying. I said "No, Why?" He then said he was asking because he believed my grades are not very high and that might be caused because I was working while studying. I was a developer with a 3 years of experience at the time of this interview and was working as a full time software engineer at one of the largest telecommunication companies in the world and this old man who believes grades and school is a way to evaluate technical capabilities was asking me why my grades was not great at the university. From this attitude you can understand the perspective they put on their employees. This is an outdated strategy for evaluating skills and assessments. I believe if I was working for the company they would probably put people from the better universities before me even there wasn't any apparent performance difference.
