Entretien
1st step is a hackerank challenge where you solve some math/statistics problems and then choose between a MATLAB section and a coding section. In the coding section, there are 2 problems. I was very disappointed Python was not one of the languages you can choose.
After that, there is a phone interview with a manager. If you get the green light there, you get an onsite interview.
You get a call then from HR where they "check in" with you about the process. From my personal experience, HR at mathworks were extremely unpleasant to talk to. The 2 HR employees I talked to seemed like they hated talking to people, the interaction with them felt very robotic and scripted. This was the least pleasant part of this whole interview process for me.
On the day of the onsite interview, first you have a technical interview for 1hr 45 mins with an EDG engineer. Then a 45 mins interview with a manager again where they ask you behavioral questions. Then a 45 mins interview with HR where they also ask you behavioral questions. The HR part was extremely unpleasant once again.
From this entire process, I noticed they don't like hiring PhDs. The process and company is more suited to someone with a bachelor's degree or masters tops. If you mention the word research, that makes them uncomfortable. They just want someone to be a developer. Also word of advice, don't mention other offers you might have. They don't negotiate salaries.

Phone interview with the hiring manager, phone call with internal recruiter, phone interview with team member, virtual interview presentation (with prep call and feedback from hiring manager) followed by 5 one-on-one virtual interviews.

The interviewers were very helpful and did not seem intimidating at all. First there is a phone call with the manager where they just ask you what you want to do if you join mathworks. Then theres the technical interview. Another manager round and finally the HR round.
They asked a low-level design question. There were two interviewers. One was just there to oversee and the other was a member of the EDG group who joined ~2 years ago.
