Very time consuming, they string you along for no matter how long. Even when they know they arent going to hire you. Just because their primary candidate isnt yet sure about joining/ coming for onsite.
I had 5 phone screens/interviews with 4 different people, I felt all of them went fine until they sent me a reject just when I felt I was going to get a call for onsite.
But then I would gladly go through this pain again just for the chance to work at this wonderful place.
1) Applied online, got a call from a team member in technical writing department
2) HR phone screen, visa status and basic hr questions
3) Technical Interview with developer
4) interview with Team lead of the dept you are applying to.
All of them seemed nice.

I interviewed at Mathworks in Cambridge, UK. Standard interview. I had a first interview with a member of the team and a second interview with another member. However, the job description was very misleading. In my case in the job description was stated that they were looking for a technical writer and once in the interview, I found out that they were looking for a software developer that maybe can do some technical writing. If I knew this in advance, I would have not applied for the job.
The interviewers, lacked interview skills and not willing to describe to me in more details of what the job consisted of.
Avoid!

Everybody involved in the process was very nice, encouraging, and answered all of my questions. They were extremely accommodating to my timeline of when I was available for interviews. The main focus of the interviews were on explaining technical concepts to a person who doesn’t have the same technical background as you.

Phone screening from hiring manager. Asked if I had any experience with code verification softwares. Asked about projects mentioned in the resume. Few programming questions were asked. Very basic ones, such as subroutine, pointer etc.
