Had a nice first chat with HR; standard questions, and all went well. The interview with the hiring manager seemed fine too. She mentioned the next round might take a while because a team member was on holiday, with some other details. Then, two days later, I got a rejection. Not a bad process overall, just a bit confusing to hear about the next steps if they weren’t planning to move forward. But hey, recruiting works in mysterious ways.
