I went through a lot of rounds. I had to obviously submit a resume to Human Resources, but after that, I had to be very aggressive about follow up. Not just phone calls and e-mails, but also showing up with a printed resume and introduce myself to a manager. After that, I was asked to come back for a basic interview with HR, and then finally with the main managers. Then I received an offer. I had to do a hair test for drugs, etc, and after I passed that they offered me the contract.
They asked a lot off of my resume, particularly about my knowledge with hotels. They also told me that the caliber of this resort wasn't as luxurious as my travel experiences, but I assured them I am a team player.
They asked a lot of "what would you do in this situation?"--for example, an unhappy guest...how do you handle communication issues within the staff? That type of thing. This is a corporation, so I would suggest knowing about Marriott and their hotel history, etc.
Good luck:)
