      Entretien

I interviewed with MarketWare in December 18 through January 19. My interview was a great experience in the beginning. First I met with the VP of Sales. I was very impressed by his industry knowledge and ability to make me feel like I was already part of the team (even though I didn't work there). I could tell his management style was on par and that he personally cared for his team. I felt he was a true believer in their software and he got me eager to learn more. Next I met with a few account executives, one in the office and one over the phone. They were both great and smart. The one in the office was very knowledgeable and really seemed to know the sale. Both the VP and the reps did a nice job of explaining the difficulty of the sale cycle while also getting me excited about the opportunity of their industry. I really wanted the role and the VP as a mentor. Lastly the VP scheduled a final interview with the CEO. I was expecting a similar style of interview as I had with the VP and reps but the CEO seemed disconnected from the rest of the team, and certainly not as knowledgeable. It caught me off guard. He was a very tough interview because all he wanted to talk about was basic sales processes and appeared to be after scripted answers. Whereas the VP and reps seemed more interested in my enterprise sales strategy and thoughts. I was unsure how the interview went but I never felt comfortable during the interview which I assumed was not good. A week later after I kept following up on the interview I was disheartened to hear a no from the VP. In the end I may have dodged a bullet just based on the meeting with the CEO. Seemed like a great sales team but I'll never know.

      Question 1

Basic interview questions but more thought provoking. How do you get prospects to re-engage after going silent?
