J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Marathon Petroleum (Findlay, OH) en déc. 2016

      Entretien

Process began by recording your video responses to a preliminary online interview. (Takes about 30 minutes.) Next stage was the 4-hour COBRA (console operator) simulation at Marathon. Final interview was with two separate teams of 3 interviewers each. Final interview was a little bit of a curveball, as it seemed several of the questions had little to do with the position. Also, interviewers didn't seem interested in finding out about candidate's knowledge of the company, industry, & position. Most questions were behavioral, so prepare well for any type of behavioral questions, regardless of whether you think they have anything to do with the position's responsibilities.

      Entretien

Began with an invitation to complete the COBRA test, then moved to 2 panel interviews. You cannot study for the COBRA test, it is a simulation to test your reactions to stressful environments. The panel interview was scheduled for several hours, 1 panel for an hour, small break, then another panel for an hour. Intense but not overly difficult questions. They're mostly just trying to see if you have the right personality for the job.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Marathon Petroleum (Findlay, OH) en févr. 2018

      Entretien

The first step was a self recorded 5 question interview. This took about 30 minutes. The questions asked were mostly about your experience as well as situational and behavioral questions. About two weeks later I heard back that I had been selected to move on to the next step which was testing at the Findlay office. This was a four hour process. First you are trained on some of the operations processes and then you take a simulation test. I found out the next day that I had passed this step and was invited to come in for an in person interview. The interview entailed two panel interviews. All of the questions were behavioral. The first two people that I met with worked in operations as a team lead/supervisor. During this interview they simply read questions off of a piece of paper and then wrote down my answers. It was very impersonal and neither of them seemed interested in even being there from the get go. The second interview was with three people - two from operations and one from HR. The questions were very similar to the first panel but they pressed a little more on your answers and at least tried to make it a little more conversational. However, the HR rep was rather condescending and was attempting to be intimidating. He asked me who my current employer’s clients are, which I found kind of inappropriate and entirely irrelevant. During this second interview I had lost interest in even working for the company (mostly because of that person). About two weeks later I received a generic email stating that I was not chosen for the position. The company apparently cares less about your ability to do the job and more on your behavior in certain situations that don’t have much to even do with the position.
