It is a small, intimate company with specific values and the founders are very careful about selecting candidates who share these values regarding biodegradable products. The interview process was relatively long, and for good reason. Management seemed to be looking at both a professional match and a personality match by asking questions that would reveal adeptness and relatability. Each step in the process was more comprehensive than the last, beginning with a series of on-line questions to submit, then speaking with HR on the phone, video interviews with the founders, and finally a PPT presentation given to the employees with a tour of the facility after. One of the nice aspects of the process was that after each interaction it was made clear that I was take action if I wanted to pursue the position, giving me the opportunity to reflect on my commitment each time. I found each of the people I interacted with to be warm and welcoming so it was easy for me to follow up and express my interest after each interview.
