I interviewed for a Program Manager role. A recruiter reached out to me, I submitted my resume and within a few days I had an interview scheduled. The first interview was a panel with the actual team the role would work with, Director and her two reports - other program managers.
They asked basic/general behavioral questions and it lasted an hour. I realized during the interview that the recruiter did not have the full job description, and had provided me with the cliff notes version, so I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked. Nonetheless, I was moved on to the speed/final round of interviews which consisted of: three 30-minute interviews with other employees who were not HR, but worked within the same umbrella of the department I'd originally interviewed with.
Each interviewer was from a different generation. The most tenured interviewer's communication style was abrasive and hard to understand exactly what she was saying or asking, and seemed a bit scattered and distracted. I didn't have high expectations of the outcome after meeting with her.
Since they were looking to fill a role immediately due to a major upcoming event, the process was expedited. So, what would probably taken over a month and included direct coordination with the HR team, was about 2 weeks. Also note, the role was not fully program management, but more of event management/executive assistant to the Director/scheduling appointments, administrative type of role.

Recruiter reached out, had 3 successful interviews and 2 days later saw an article in the local paper that they are no longer hiring. Somewhat disappointed that the department or recruiter never followed up.

Applied and waited for almost exactly a month for an interview to be scheduled (I was prepared for this due to the other reviews). The interview was a structured panel including the hiring manager, their direct team and some indirect peers. Straightforward questions, ample time to answer and discuss qualifications; make sure to ask questions! This place is different from the private sector, and I've enjoyed every minute of the recruitment and onboarding process.

Have interviewed for several roles within the company and every recruiter ghosts if you are not the candidate they want. Out of 4 recruiters, I only heard feedback from one after emailing twice. Interview process is lengthy, they take 2-3 weeks to make a decision. Interview questions are fairly easy but overall the hiring process is a nightmare. It’s unfortunate that a company with such a great reputation does not value the time of prospective employees to give a follow up in a timely manner or at all.
