Literally the worst interaction I ever had with a potential employer. All the negative reviews here about chaotic decision making processes are 100% correct. I was approached by a recruiter for a position in a certain field, and after looking at the jobs site I told him that I would be interested in another position. Mbition reviewed my CV and said yes, and called me to confirm my salary expectations. After some pressure I agreed to lower my salary expectation to my current salary (I was very clear about not wanting to actually lower my income). Then after the 2nd interview, they approached me and told me they want to continue the process, but for a higher level position (Principal engineer). Of course I agreed and did 2 more interviews - one of them included a 4 hour technical task and then a code review. Then, after a month of interaction, they told me that they want to make me an offer. Very happy, I met the HR person who talked for 15 minutes about their benefits (BVG card and similar). But he saved the best bit to the end - They are not only offering me 20% below my current salary (!!), they are offering me a different position. lower in status. that I was never even asked about. Complete madness and very insulting actually. After reading the rest of the reviews here, it looks like it's methodical - get the salary expectation from the candidate, ignore it, take them through all the exhausting interview process, only to offer them an insulting salary, in some weird hope people will downgrade their financial situation just for the privilege of working for them. I would stay away.
