After a lot of emails were exchanged before the interview I was made aware of their budget for the role. I agreed to do the interview and this started with the salary discussion even if they already made me aware of it. The discussion was focusing on the fact that I have more experience than the person I will be reporting to, which seemed to be a problem for them. They have seen my CV before so not sure why interviewed me if they were looking for a junior consultant.
