Inefficient and overboard to say the least. Told they were looking for a leader and strategist but process revealed they were more so looking for a tactician. Not quite sure what the head of the team does on a day-to-day basis since there seemed to be a huge disconnect between his POV and his team's feedback. I say that with the utmost sincerity and with no ill intentions. My conversations led me to believe that there's a tremendous (and perhaps insurmountable) disconnect between the marketing and communications teams with little desire to fix the situation, which is never a good thing in a highly competitive industry. The team structure also seemed very inefficient with a lot of layers. I didn't get to the offer stage but in all sincerity, I'm okay with it because, at the end of the day, it didn't seem like a great role. Lyft is a good brand with the potential to be great, maybe even iconic, but (what seems like) their sole focus on the short-term, inability to work with one another, as well as their inefficient team structure, might prevent them from reaching that level. I do, however, wish them well.
