Filled out the online application which included submitting Driver License #, SS #, Vehicle/Insurance Information, and consent to a background check. Once approved, a meeting with a local mentor was set up via text message between my mentor and myself. We met, and I drove about half a mile (per his instructions), he inspected my vehicle to ensure there were no repairs needed so that it met company standards, he took my photo, and said that he was going to suggest that I start driving as soon as possible. He instructed me on how to download the Lyft Drivers App, told me to watch the videos on how to give my first ride, and said I should receive a text/email letting me know that I had been approved to start driving. I received the message in a couple of days, and was good to go.
