Good experience, organized and professional. First interview was over the phone, second interview was via video chat. Interviewers (three altogether) asked good questions, and I was only caught off guard by one of the answers. The interview was not stressful at all, and I felt like I was being interviewed by a group of peers rather than by a bunch of corporate muckety mucks. Am disappointed I didn't get the position as Lyft seems like a fun place to work.

Lyft does not value its candidate’s time.
I applied for a position over the weekend and got an email from the recruiter Monday morning to set up phone screen through a link. I selected several times that were open on the recruiter’s calendar. They responded a few minutes later with a time that I had not selected, but I made it work. Phone screen goes great and told I am passed along to the next step and someone will reach out to me after I again select l times on the availability calendar; never heard back from the recruiter confirming a time. The next day I get a call from the hiring manager wanting to complete the interview. I did not know they would be calling but, I made it work. The hiring manager raved about my background and my experience in the field. Shortly after I get contacted by the recruiter to set up in person interviews at the office in Nashville for the next week. The in person interview was 2 hours long; spending 30 mins with each person. The first person was LATE by 5 mins and bragged about all of the changes she has made that people were unhappy with. The second person was on time and didn’t ask any questions just made small talk the entire time. The 3rd person was 5 mins late, never looked up from his laptop and didn’t know what position I was interviewing for. The 4th person was 7 mins LATE asked scripted questions for the most part and then hit me with the question about people being different and the culture at Lyft and ends the question with “I know people like you struggle with different people. I asked her for clarity on that and she refused. A week later I get a call from the recruiter that they went with another applicant because I “just didn’t have enough experience. I called the recruiter out and asked for clarity on how everyone I talked to said my experience far excited what they were looking for and needed. He then informs me that they have to bring X amount of people in to interview for a position. So basically, I was just a stat on paper so they could meet their interview quota and hire who they knew they were going to hire before they even contacted me.

It was a great experience. Even if I didn’t get an offer. Just the interview process. They really deep dive into you and your history. You can tell they really care about their employees. The presentation that you have to make with the PowerPoint was great.
