Phone screens with recruiter, manager, homework assignment then in person afternoon.
Interview was very difficult, maybe needlessly so. 90% of the questions were brain teasers or cases. What surprised me most was the position was for an experienced hire but they didn't ask any questions about previous experience. Literally zero. Didn't get an offer but that was a monster red flag for me as a candidate.
The interviewers were nice and seemed very sharp. The team seems solid. Not sure how diverse their problems really are though.

Question 1
How would you handle this theoretical situation with market manager X? (Instead of, say, tell me about a time someone asked you about a problem with their business or tell me about a time you used analytics to solve a business problem. Who were the stakeholders? What was the problem? etc.)

Extremely frustrating and annoying. Recruiter reached out to me nearly 1 month after application for Analytics Manager and scheduled the interview with HM. However in between they told I would be a better fir for Senior Analyst role although I have 5+ years experience. Made me do a take home assignment and then after multiple followups, told me they are moving ahead with other candidates. Recruiter and hiring team wasted my time.

The recruiter was the nicest and kindest person I have ever met with, and promptly scheduled my interview with the hiring manager.
The hiring manager was late to my interview, the first question I received was what concerns me about this role, the second one was how would my peers criticize my leadership abilities. I wasn't asked any questions on my background, projects, or technical skills. My questions were answered with lack of enthusiasm.
Three days later, I received an email stating that I wasn't qualified. Given that I only received two unnecessarily negatively phrased behavioral questions, I don't know how they measured it.
