The first interview was a 30 minute Google Meet with the hiring manager about my background - very easy and conversational. The next round was a "skills assessment" with the same manager, which was basically choosing a brand and outlining how I would build a hypothetical influencer marketing campaign for them. I was told I did well and would be moving onto the next round, which would be another "skills assessment" with the CEO. In that round, he told me I had done so well on the first assessment that he created a super hard test that he didn't think I would be able to do. This ended up being a technical problem in Excel which was something their "software engineering team would work on" and had absolutely nothing to do with the role I was interviewing for. Nevertheless, I received positive feedback was told I would be moving onto the final round, which would be a culture interview. I received no response until two weeks later (after I had followed up) which was a generic "we are moving forward with another candidate" email. Mind you this was almost a 10 week process for three 30 minute calls, and I had to follow up multiple times to get responses in between. They seem to have no problem stringing candidates along and wasting their time.

I had 3 interviews all conducted on Google Meet. I had an initial interview, a role playing interview, then a "case study" interview. The first was a straightforward question and answer style interview. The second interview's format had me pretend I was giving a demo of the platform to a new client. And the third interview format was pretty disorganized. I had to pretend to be the Chief Marketing Officer of 2 different companies and work through a few marketing analytics exercises with the co-founder. The last interview was really confusing because the cofounder didn't send me the meeting link until 5 minutes after the interview was supposed to start. I then had to wait multiple weeks to be told I wasn't chosen for the job. I was given a lot of positive feedback about my performance and intelligence when they told me they chose someone else. I'm very grateful for their kindness and honoring the time I put into the interview.
