      Entretien

Funny how other reviewers' negative experience was precisely spot-on identical with what I saw in my unpleasant 60 minutes at LoginRadius. The initial phone call with Deepak was friendly and conversational, mostly focusing on behavioural questions and getting to know me. I would like to point out that Deepak also remained professional and respectful throughout the in-person interview that would follow, so this criticism doesn't apply to him. The second interview was at their downtown office. The office is about 75% of the floor in this building and looks alright. Not too modern but they do have some recreational things there. I was called into one of their conference rooms with Deepak and Rajesh Soni, the CEO. From the first moment I had a feeling that I have been granted a huge favour by coming in, and that the CEO was not happy to be there to interview a possible new employee, but that just a sidenote. It was like a game of good cop/bad cop. Deepak was the good cop, asking relevant technical and behavioural questions and letting you talk, digging deeper on certain things like it can be expected. He was a bit more of a challenging interviewer, but I like it when employers don't make it too easy. Mr. Soni on the other hand seemed absent, looking down on his phone frequently, and when he would talk it would often be to cut me off half-way through the sentence. What bothered me after a while (though I was simply amused, because I read about the exact same issue from a previous reviewer here) was his accusatory attitude towards me. Many of the questions he asked appeared to doubt the relevance and even legitimacy of my experience. He pointed at selling SaaS software and office hardware that costs in excess of $40,000 and commented along the lines "You did retail sales. We are much more". If I have to explain to a CEO that B2B SaaS/tech sales is different from retail, I can think of little more reasons than an inflated self and lack of respect. He should know what's the difference. At the end of many times being cut off, accused of misunderstanding the requirements of the job (although I have done that job for a few years now), they asked me two trick questions (see below). Those questions are kind of tricky, especially on the spot, so while I wished I could have answered then, I doubt that a lot of people would come up with the solution for the lightbulb one on the spot. I earned a bunch of condescending smiles from the CEO for not being able to answer it. The second question (an ant wants to get to the other side of a cube), I tried to answer and according to what I found via Google later, I even drew the right solution on the board at the end but didn't know because except for belittling me ("It's 6th grade math"), the Mr. Soni did not feel like contributing much. I suspect I will not get an offer and that's perfect. I would never work under such leadership. I have interviewed in all sorts of companies - start-ups and corporate - and this was hands down the most unprofessional and disrespectful impression a CEO of a company I have ever interviewed with. But the consistency of the experience that people share here should tell volumes about what kind of a leader he is, and it will definitely affect your happiness at this company if you are selected to work there.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

There is one light bulb in a dark room, 3 light switches in another room, none of them have windows. You can only enter each room once. How do you find out which switch turns on the light bulb.

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to write such extensive feedback. I am not sure what role in which you were applying for, but any feedback is welcome. Certainly depending upon the interviewer, there are different styles or approaches that are undertaken; looking for a specific outcome In an effort to always evolve, improve and attract the best talent for the position extended; I am happy to connect directly to listen further. kris.hay@loginradius.com thank you again regardless :) -K
