      Entretien

I emailed a friend of a friend that works at LivingSocial to help bump up my resume to the top of the pile. The next day I got an email from an HR Recruiter to set up the phone interview. 2 days later we had our interview and it went really well, the recruiter went into detail about the needs to bring someone on "sooner rather than later" because they were "understaffed" and even went as far as telling me the salary for the position, which was pretty high for my standards. That Friday the recruiter emailed to set up the in person interview. The next week - Thursday, I went in for my interview and to my surprise a friend of mine was there to interview for the same position. We were met by the recruiter who took us to the manager of the photo editing team. My friend went into one room with the manager and I went into another room with two ladies from the photo editing team. The first portion of the interview was great, the ladies were friendly and receptive and we hit it off. The second interview with the manager was a little more icy than I had anticipated, I couldn't gauge how receptive the interviewer was with what I was saying. Both interviews were a general overview of my resume and experience but also what I had to offer and how I would be an advantage for the company and the photo editing team. The second portion with the manager was also with another senior manager via Skype which caught me off guard but to my surprise the manager on Skype was more receptive to my responses than the manager who was there irl. The entire interview lasted about an hour and a half. Its been two weeks since the interview and I've received no communications about whether they would like to offer a position or not unfortunately. My friend just got a rejection email yesterday from them so I'm wondering where my stance is with them since I haven't received anything yet. Hopefully I hear something soon, fingers crossed.
