      Entretien

      There were 3 stages: phone screening for 25-30 min, hiring manager for 30 min, then 2 hours of interviews with 4 different people. Speaking with the team and getting to learn about them was a positive experience and everyone was very friendly and understanding. What really made me change my mind about the company at the end was that after having gone through the full interview process, they let me know a few days later that they've decided to cancel the position altogether due to budget constraints. They also said they'd keep me in mind if anything changes or for future roles, but I don't think I'd put myself through this again at this company given how they treated this process. A candidate's time is just as valuable as the interviewer's, especially now. You can't "just see" who's applying and interviewing and decide against hiring after someone's gone through the full process, and not even offer an alternative. The people might be great, but the company - not so much. Guess I dodged a bullet.

      Entretien

      6 step interview process: 1)LinkedIn Recruiter, 2)Internal Recruiter, 3)Product Manager, 4)Presentation, 5)Onsite Interview, 6) Culture Interview First two recruiter calls were conversational and very easy. Next was the call with the Product Manager who admitted she had difficulties interacting with clients, even though this was for a client-facing role. There were awkward pauses as she went down a list of scripted questions (difficult for natural conversation to flow). I could hear her phone buzzing and replying to texts/emails as I was responding to questions. Call ended very abruptly because she was late for a presentation. Followed up with her the next day and she didn't reply, but I received an email shortly thereafter from the recruiter saying they would not be proceeding with me as a candidate. While LiveRamp might have been a great company to join, they need to have someone with more leadership skills doing the interviews once past the recruiter level, especially for client facing roles.

Being unprepared and distracted as an interviewer does not “reflect” behaviors we strive for in our hiring practices. You should have walked away feeling seen, heard and that the interviewer was well prepared.
