Applied and heard from recruiter relatively quickly. Good/easy initial phone screen, was told I sounded like a great fit for role based on my background. Next had a call with hiring manager that went well and was mix of behavioral/background questions; had a good rapport with manager and was moved to next round. Met with full team panel, and was asked series of behavioral questions (all standard, fairly easy). Felt strong rapport with the team and really good alignment for the role. Afterward, I was informed by recruiter I would not being moving to final round (case presentation). After chasing the recruiting contact for feedback for 2 weeks, (strangely a different person from the one I had been working with throughout the process), I was told that the team liked everything about my background, experience, and the answers I provided, but they thought this role was "too senior" for me, and I'd be better suited for a role at a lower level. This was VERY frustrating, as the implication that my experience was insufficient was something that should have been flagged earlier in the process. Ultimately felt like a waste of time, and that my interview performance was a non-factor in the decision.
