J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Linear Division (Chicago, IL) en oct. 2018
Entretien
One of the guys fast talked at me for five minutes being extremely vague about what the actual job entailed. It was clear this was another "direct marketing" downtown door to door ponzi scheme pitch about how if I worked hard I could manage my own team of people just like me to do a terrible grind of a job for next to nothing.

Question 1
The classic "where do you see yourself in five years"

DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME!
This interview process was surrounded by red flags and I should have known better, but I went along with the process anyway. I'm writing this to warn you not to waste your time with this shifty company.
1. The job title did not have a real name. It just said "Marketing Position #entrylevel #gocubsgo" ... I kid you not, the hashtag #gocubsgo was there and everything. First of all, its irrelevant to the job. Secondly, it is unprofessional in a formal job posting.
2. Their website has so many red flags.
It plays music on every page like this is 2007 Myspace
There are runners/athletes on every page as if thats relevant to direct marketing or their clientele
The website shows ZERO previous work, case studies or services provided.
The blog sounds like it was written by a high school teen
There were SO MANY grammatical errors.
I looked past these things because Linkedin said the company was founded in 2018, so I figured it was a startup and they just needed help.
3. I arrive for the interview and there are 10 other people waiting to be interview for the same role. It was like speed dating for interviwing. They were rotating us in and out like cattle
4. My interview was scheduled for 2:30. I wasn't called into the interview until 3:05. No one said "We're running a little behind schedule. Thank you for being patient".. it was just expected that we sit there and wait quietly and not complain.
5. His job description of the company structure and services they offer was vague and rushed. He talked a mile a minutes. It was like a speech as he scribbled a “company structure” and “services” .. but it wasn't real. It was rushed and not described well at all. He also said that they focus on event marketing (which is not direct marketing at all really)
6. He didn't ask me if I had any questions even though at the beginning of the interview I mentioned that I had a ton of questions. He finished his rant and said “Ok, thanks for coming” and escorted me out. WILD.
7. He kept (and the website says) this was Chicago’s premier direct marketing company.. with no previous work shown, a founded date in 2018 and a shared office in a crowded downtown suite.. Makes no sense.
I wish I would have known all of this before I went. These reviews on the company are fraudulent and I hope more people update it with their honest experiences.

Question 1
The only question they asked me was "Who would you like to have dinner with dead or alive."
