Entretien
Face to face interview with three people, two from the downstream processing team and one HR representative. One of them sat next to me around the table which seemed rather friendly to start off with, until I realise he was pulling faces behind my back while I was talking to the other person, who kept looking at him above my shoulder. I was asked questions about my previous job and felt talked down to, especially about my academic career. There was an odd "test" session in which I was shown results of bad laboratory practice or incompetence and asked to solve the problem, which for me would be do not hire somebody who cannot make buffers or does inject massive amounts of air in a chromatography system but there you go! The only question I was asked by the HR person was how I would deal with conflict with my direct superior, which I assume means the lady with the laptop has not won any popularity contest in recent years! Overall the worst interview experience I had so far. I disliked them so much that when the recruiter called me afterwards I said I was not interested so I didn't get any offer but I wouldn't have accepted one in any case. The location is also incredibly sad and in the middle of nowhere with no facilities around, from what I could see. Avoid like the plague if you can!
