Great interview and nice enough people it seemed, but weak follow through. Whether or not someone gets an offer, all candidates should be contacted regarding status especially after being told explicitly that they wouldn’t be left hanging. Accountability is important for both sides of the table. Not taking a few minutes to get back to people is unprofessional and implies that the interviewees time for the interview as well as time and effort taken to prepare for said interview is considered of little worth and that it doesn’t warrant that simple 1-2 minute conversation. And as a former hiring manager myself I know personally that it’s not that difficult.
