      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Level Money (San Francisco, CA) en mars 2014

      Entretien

I applied online (sent an email), and I heard back approximately one week later. The hiring manager asked me to come on site; the journey took over four hours one way, but the company said they would reimburse me for travel. Cool. I get there, and I have a great 1-2 hour interview. I answered all of the questions spot on (none were terribly difficult), and I had come very prepared with suggestions for how I would improve the app, what I really liked about the process, why I thought set them apart from their competitors (etc.) The hiring manager told me she had been looking for some great online resources to learn programming, and bam, I gave her some solid recommendations I had used myself. Overall, I thought I really killed it. I'm usually very conservative with how I think I do in interviews. The woman told me she loved me, tried to find the head honcho guy to come in and talk with me after talking with her (but he was busy in a meeting), and told me she though I was perfect for the company. Not the typical HR end of interview speech you usually hear. A week goes by, I hear nothing. I send a polite inquiry with my travel expenses. Another few days go by, so I send a follow up. I get a response saying the company was discussing hiring, and that she had put my reimbursement check in the mail. Another week goes by, so I send another email (mainly to say I hadn't received the check.) No response. Another week, I send ANOTHER email, just asking if they're still hiring or if they've moved on at this point because I'd like to be informed if they aren't still interested AND WHERE IS MY CHECK. A few days go by, and I get a response from the same woman who hired me (ignoring the check question) telling me that they would let me know on the Friday of the following week (so almost a solid 2 weeks.) Finally, that Friday rolls around, no email, no nothing. I sent an email the Monday after stating I was no longer interested in the job. Never heard back.
