The interview process at Lendio was very smooth. I could tell that they were just as concerned about culture as they were about hiring for technical ability. I felt like I could relate with their "Humble & Hungry" mantra, and the interview process gave me a full transparency view into the company. I came away from my first interview knowing my standing, what to expect, the values of the company, and pretty much anything else I would have cared to know. The rest of the interviews solidified my first impressions about the culture of the company, and made me genuinely believe that Lendio was committed to professional development.

Question 1
What is something meaningful you've learned as you've matured in your career as a software developer?
3 interviews:
First was with a recruiter for 30 mins
Second was with two engineering manager in person, no leetcode or white boarding, was in depth about my background and how it would translate to the role I was interviewing for.
Third Interview was with the director of Engineering, felt more like a conversation than an interview. The process was great, love how Lendio actually cares about culture fit and the process was quick and smooth.

First had a recruiter screen. A few days later I met with two engineering managers who were super nice. We had a nice chat in the Lehi office for an hour. No white boarding or anything, more of a discussion of my experience pertaining to projects I had worked on and how I worked with others and through problems. Last round was with Brian Hosie the head of Engineering. Had a good chat with him about Lendio, the importance of culture and what I would be working on at Lendio. No whiteboarding, they correctly care more about culture fit and making sure engineers can work well together and have no jerks. Although I never had worked with most of their stack that wasn’t a dealbreaker at all.

Easy interview process with laid back, but in-depth interviews. Initial half hour screen with recruiter, one hour each with an engineering manager, VP of engineering, and finally an engineering director.
