After I went through the phone screen, I was set up for an on-site interview. I live over 700 miles away. That said, they paid for the flight, rental car, and hotel. The interview itself was 2 hours total, and with 2 supervisors. Very thorough interview with lots of STAR questions. Salary wasnt talked about (i knew the salary from the phone screen), but the job description and typical hours were talked about. After the interview I was told Id hear back in about a week on whether theyd go ahead in the process and do a background check. I was then told to be patient, because their background checks "take forever" its only been a few days so still waiting to hear something.

Went through a presentation at first, describing the job position. Then answered basic questions, like tell me about yourself and how you feel working with animals. Good to know that you work a lot of weekends and some holidays, like New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc... Also good chance you need to have some late nights.
