Applied through my college.
The 1st round was an OA with basic questions on manual testing and aptitude, and I successfully cleared this round.
The 2nd round was an in-person F2F interview at the LG Soft office. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very unprofessional experience.
The interviewer asked me to write full forms of LG, STB, TV/AV, OTT, the founding year of LG, and the difference between streaming and buffering. I answered most of them correctly. I was given around 5 minutes, during which the interviewer made personal phone calls, which affected the flow of the interview.
After reviewing my written answers, the interviewer mentioned that these were basic questions and said he would not ask questions related to manual testing. He then asked about the initial name of LG.
I explained that I had prepared mainly for manual testing concepts. After that, he asked for full forms of HTML, HTTP, and CSS, which I answered correctly. He then asked which language is used to write CSS and asked me to write without giving proper context. During this time, the interviewer again made personal phone calls. I wrote some basic CSS, but he said he did not want that.
He then asked what is ML, which I answered, and also asked about automation tools. I honestly mentioned that I am not familiar with automation tools yet, but I am aware of Selenium as an automation testing framework using Java.
After this, the interview ended and I was rejected.
I felt disappointed because I had prepared sincerely for manual testing, learned the concepts in detail, and expected the interview to evaluate those skills.
