J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez L'atiste (Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, CA) en mars 2021
Entretien
After my second interview, the man who hired me texted me, he did not call me, but he texted me. I felt uncomfortable, but I replied because I didn’t want it to look bad of me if I did not chose to reply about the position.
I ended up texting him back, but making it sure it was formatted as if I was emailing him. He texted me to let me know he would let me know the text day with their decision, but then mentioned if he were to pay me X amount, would I take the position.
Before saying yes or no, I did ask him if he could let me know what the full-time benefits were. He said he didn’t really know and he could have someone let me know what they were. Kind of odd, but the next day he kind of came back with answer, but not enough for me to still say yes to the position.
Afterwards, I started doing some research on what the average pay was for this position. It wasn’t close to competitive company salaries were giving. I asked him if it was possible to match those numbers. He said no, and that this was the best they could do.
I kindly told him I understood, that I appreciated the opportunity to make it this far, but I will kindly have to decline.
He then asked me what number I was looking for, I gave him a salary number (when they were planning on giving me hourly), then gave him an hourly rate, which might be $2-$3 more than what they were going to offer me.
He then rebuttals and says, “$ (a dollar more than what was offered) would roughly give me x amount salary — which it did not.
Before I could even say anything back, he sends me this text:
“You really want to pass up on it for 2K?”
I feel like I made the right decision.

Question 1
It was a vary of social media questions. Nothing that made me super nervous and it was easy going - I thought it went well. I thought I was going to enjoy working for this company.
