Initial phone interview...just a simple screening. Wanted to know what I knew about the company, explained the reason for the role being open and also, what my salary expectations were. Ignored my question about their salary banding and laughed when I mentioned my expectation, but didn't say if I was asking for too much, or too little.
Following this, a video interview with the hiring manager. Great conversation with a personable manager. However, this was (at time of writing) 6 weeks ago, and I am yet to hear anything. I assume that I was unsuccessful, and expect a recruiter to just ghost someone. However, I even chased the contact at Kroll directly and was ignored. To make a candidate go through an interview to just waste their time and not have the decency to at least tell them they have been unsuccessful (and flat out ignore a direct email) is unacceptable and probably says more about the company than they realise.
