      Interviews: 1. HR phone screen, very simple. Questions about your background and why you applied. 2. Technical interview with 2 software developers. Mostly just architecture questions, how the internet works, reading code, and writing an algorithm. Not particularly difficult but you should review map/filter/reduce before going in. 3. 3 hour take-home test to implement 7 features for gmail clone. There are many areas you can choose what to do (you can't really complete all of them). You need to know some react to do some of it so learn it beforehand. 4. They followed up within a week for an interview to talk to the founder. They ask for references and as other people have mentioned, they check them. After that, they send you an offer.

      (Take home assessment: gmail clone) 1. Implement the "select all" messages checkbox and it should behave like the gmail one. 2. Implement message loading. Currently the code only loads the most recent message, implement loading for the rest of the messages. 3. You are given two sorted arrays of messages by date, where each message contains an id and a timestamp. Write a function, in O(n) time, to merge these two lists by their timestamps without duplicate messages. 4. Write unit tests in JEST to test your function from task 3. 5. Style a modal. There is a label maker and it hasn't been styled so style it. 6. Implement labeling for messages 7. Add a count for the amount of messages for each label. 8. Anything else you want to add.

      How would you architect a chess game that had both a frontend component and a server side component (ignore the technologies used)? What would you store on the client and server? How would you validate which user requested a move? What kind of HTTP verbs (POST, GET, etc) would you use for each situation? How would you keep the connection alive and check if the other person made a move yet? Lots more follow up questions.

      Read the following javascript/java/kotlin (your choice) code and tell us the output. Talk about it line by line. (code has a hash table with (month, day) pairs which uses filter to find which months have less than 30 days, and we use map to only get the days. We have an if statement checking if we have any days over 31, does it print anything?) What needs to be changed in the if statement to not break? Does the if statement print for this example?

      The interview process was really short for the first round. It was only 20 mins and it a conversational-style interview. I was asked behavioral questions like "Tell Me About Yourself", "Why do you want to work here", and "What do I do in my free-time". I think it was too short to see whether I was a good fit or not, especially with the HR questions they had to do.

      a 30 min HR phone call, the process was friendly the vibe was good. but I still failed it maybe they have better candidates. They asked basic BQ questions like why the company and the most challenging project.

      During the interview process, they were all friendly and polite and gave the impression that Konrad is a good company to work for, however, as time went by it was clear that they are indeed just perpetuating a fake image to keep you excited about the position. I won't complain about how they were disorganized or how they dragged me on for 2 months, but one thing I want to emphasize is their dishonesty in regards to the rejection. At each stage it started with "we are expanding our team rapidly" and after 2 months of interviewing I get a rejection saying "we have reached our hiring capacity". During each interview, I asked if I can improve on anything in regards to the interview approaches, the way I solved questions, and the way I communicated. After all, the main goal is to learn from mistakes and improve based on feedback. From the HR to team members to the manager, they all had nothing but positive things to say, alongside "you will definitely be hearing back from us", "we were not talking much since you covered everything thoroughly" and "we really like you and your work", the only negative feedback I received was about how I went into too many details for the design question, which is fair and understandable. After 2 months of interviewing and going to the very last steps of the process, all of the sudden they just realized "they reached hiring capacity", which is nothing but a white lie, I much rather hear the truth being "we went forward with another candidate". But in all honesty, maybe they somehow ran out of hiring budget or maybe they think they are being nice by telling a white lie. In addition to all of that, they posted a new position the same day I got rejected (Vancouver Software Developer Intern). As I am still a student and could enroll in an internship anytime, I reached out to them saying if I could be considered for this position? and they rejected me and responded with "we are looking for students who are going to be returning to school after their work term" which to me makes absolutely no sense... 30 min phone interview, 3 hr react email application 1.5 hr of technical whiteboard questions 30 meeting manager. submit unofficial transcript + references. All the Questions I posted are somewhat the combination of all the interview questions posted here previously.
