      I applied, a recruiter got in touch with me, and we spoke as the initial interview. From there, I was brought in for a back-to-back interview format with four employees. They had serious energy and seemed really excited to not only be a part of the interview process, but also speak with me about the company. I was brought in for an interview with the CEO afterwards, which I found to be an underwhelming experience. It's incredibly admirable that Andrew is so involved in the interview process, especially as his company is experiencing an exponential growth period. However, it was easy to see that he seemed exhausted and he came across as having almost too much on his plate already to remain involved in the process. He arrived about twenty minutes late and our conversation was not very fluid. Until that point in the process, the representatives I'd spoken to were really engaging. The following day, I received a very generic email from my recruiter that I was not being brought forward in the process. I was more disappointed with how much of a contrast that was to how the process had been to that point, than actually hearing I wasn't being brought in.

      First a screening with HR, then a first interview (1h) with hiring manager about experience and motivations, then presentation stage (1h) where I presented a mock kick off call, then 3 30 min interviews with different managers, then offer stage.

      The interview process was really clear and concise. Based on previous reviews, it seems like Klaviyo have really took the feedback from past candidate experiences and implemented a great interview process. I applied online, the first step was a phone screening with the recruiter. She gave great feedback and gave advice on what the hiring manager would be looking for. The next step was an interview with a manager from the department and a take home assignment. The next step was a 2 hour interview with various team members and management. I was super intimidated by a 2 hour interview. I thought it was going to be daunting and I though I’d be drilled with questions for 2 hours straight, but it was the opposite. It felt like each person was trying to get to know me and they asked questions that would allow me to showcase my skills. There weren’t any “gotcha” questions or super tricky ones, just really thoughtful and analytical questions. Don’t be intimidated by the process. Just do your best and showcase your best work!

      J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Klaviyo en sept. 2021

      Entretien

      Process started with a 15m call with the recruiter. She called an hour early as the time scheduled was the incorrect time zone. I asked to reschedule and she said she had no other availability during the week to reschedule. Moved on to a 30m call with a manager. Verified the time with the recruiter by reaching out giving her a call. She replied that I was calling her personal cell and that I should reach out via email next time as, "they are an email company." Next round was presentation. Minimal feedback but told it was "positive." Next round was an hour panel with 3 managers. I was asked to submit availability twice as the times I was available, the team was not. Time zone issues again as the panel was expecting me an hour earlier than the actual time. Next round was a call with another manager. Once speaking she informed me she was the department manager even though the info from the recruiter stated that I would be speaking with someone else. Did not move forward after this call but they wanted to know if I would be interested in another position. The entire interview process started over from the beginning. Six more engagements were to be set again. I emailed the recruiter thanking her for her time and letting her know I would like to withdrawal my candidacy. No response from the recruiter.
