After applying for a director level fundraising position over the summer, I was strung along in the interview process for several weeks with several staff members, without receiving an update. Fast forward nearly 4 months - I received an email from someone to set up an interview for a lower level event management position which I had never applied to. I replied to the email truthfully, questioning the disorganized screening/hiring process.

KAB sought me out. I thought -- how nice -- what a great organization! I currently work in development for a nonprofit. The woman I interacted with was the rudest, most arrogant person ever. I thought maybe she just didn't care for me. I asked others in the nonprofit world if they knew of this woman -- and oh yes they did -- and it wasn't positive. She said she would get back to me that week. Never heard back! No surprise there! My current nonprofit job has great people -- not people like that.
