Interviews are taken by senior executive partners or junior partner depending on the type of employment. Salary is the main criteria of selection rather than merit. Interview will be a walk-through if salary demand is low, as merit and experience will be ignored. Good oppurtunity for below average candidates.

Unfortunately interviewers are not in a position to ask difficult question about the profession. The unexpected question will be whether you will be willing to work at half of your real value in the market and to be subordinate to persons junior to you.?
