This is my honest review. The process took about four months with interviews lasting over two hours. The final was three hours. The staff here are quite kind, but leadership is a dumpster fire caught in a tornado. I was offered a job and strung along for over a month and then ghosted. The Director had gone over salary, included me on a company emails while she awaited my start date, and even called me on weekends to tell me she was excited about the future of the work. KUOW is part of UW and I say this as a colleague and UW employee. This is the most disrespectful process and lack of communication I’ve ever encountered. I have since moved on, but not once has their leadership reached out with an explanation or apology.
You absolutely do not treat colleagues this way. Avoid this place.

Pros: Interview was very conversational and I was given the chance to ask questions first which was nice.
Cons: Confusing /lack of communication about interview process or status. After first interview which went excessively over the 30 minute timeframe and felt chaotic at times, I was invited to a second interview within a week to interview with another employee. This interview was also conversational and I felt that I was doing more of the questioning than the person who was supposed to interview me. About 5-10 minutes to the end of the interview, I'm told that they thought I would be a fit for another role which was why I was asked to interview with this specific person and encouraged to find the job description online and apply. While it would have been preferable to get an email/call stating this beforehand and providing the recommended job description so that I could first see if I was interested and could also be prepared to interview for the recommended role vs spending time asking questions related to the first position I applied for, I decided to be positive and apply. I got an email that said be in touch soon. About a month later, I received an email asking if I'd be interested in doing a group interview for the role. At this point I am employed elsewhere and I politely decline.
