J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez KAYAK

Had an initial call the HR, went well. Then had a a take home which was an easy REST API app, written in React JS. The onsite however was one of the worst experiance's I ever had. First of all the recruiter told me it would be mostly conversational and a small coding assessment. Which was incorrect.
The first interviewer from the Berlin office was really rude and condescending which kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

I was sent a zip file with 3 challenges and asked to solve them in place and re-upload the zip file. I felt like we're in the 90s.
This was not my main issue though; one of the challenges was a simple code challenge, which you were supposed to solve it with Java (!!), even though this is a front end position that should have nothing to do with Java.
I solved the problem in JavaScript (THE front-end language) and was rejected because I didn't solve it in Java.
You can usually tell a lot about how a company works through their interview process, and from the absolute chaos I saw in this brief interaction, I'd suggest you stay away.
